våre terapier

At Ametu Wellness, our approach is built on a unique combination of traditional Eastern techniques and modern understanding of the body. This allows us to provide treatments that are not only deeply relaxing, but also effective in addressing chronic pain, muscle tension, and postural imbalances.

Shiatsu – Restoring Energy & Balance

Shiatsu (meaning “finger pressure” in Japanese) is a therapeutic technique developed in Japan and rooted in traditional Chinese medicine. It works along the body’s meridians — channels where energy, or “Qi,” flows — using rhythmic pressure, stretching, and gentle mobilization.
By stimulating these points, Shiatsu improves circulation, releases muscle tension, supports the nervous system, and encourages the body to heal naturally. It’s ideal for stress relief, tension headaches, back pain, and general fatigue. Many clients find it leaves them feeling both relaxed and re-energized.

Amatsu – Aligning the Body Naturally

Amatsu is a Japanese therapy based on ancient martial arts principles and modern biomechanics. It focuses on restoring the body’s natural alignment through soft tissue release, gentle joint mobilization, and postural correction.
Rather than working only where pain is felt, Amatsu looks for the root cause — often imbalances in the pelvis, spine, or movement patterns. This approach makes it highly effective for chronic musculoskeletal problems, mobility restrictions, and recovery after injury.

Yumeiho – Balancing Spine & Pelvis for Whole-Body Health

Yumeiho therapy originates from Japan and is based on the belief that many health problems come from misalignment of the pelvis and spine. This method combines deep pressure techniques with stretches and joint mobilization to restore balance in the musculoskeletal system.

By improving spinal and pelvic alignment, Yumeiho can help relieve lower back pain, hip discomfort, poor posture, and restricted movement. It is especially helpful for those who spend long hours sitting or standing in fixed positions.

Reflexology – Healing Through the Nerve Pathways

Reflexology is an ancient practice found in various cultures, from Egypt to China. It is based on the principle that specific points on the feet and hands correspond to different organs and systems in the body.

By applying pressure to these points, we can stimulate nerve pathways, improve circulation, and promote overall well-being. Reflexology can help reduce stress, aid digestion, improve sleep, and boost the immune system — all while providing deep relaxation.

Pressure Point Therapy – Targeted Release for Deep Tension

Pressure point therapy focuses on releasing knots and chronic tightness by applying firm, sustained pressure to specific points in muscles and connective tissue. These points often correspond to areas of nerve compression or restricted blood flow, which can cause pain and stiffness.
This technique is particularly effective for sports injuries, tension headaches, neck and shoulder pain, and posture-related discomfort. By targeting the source of tension, it restores mobility, reduces pain, and prevents recurring strain.
